History

The Fox and the Hound was released to theatres in the United States on July 10th 1981! The Fox and the Hound is the 24th Disney animated feature film. This movie is rated G. So it is great for the whole family and any friends! This movie had 1 win and 2 nominations. The win was for the Golden Screen in Germany in 1982. The two nominations were for the Saturn Award for the Best Fantasy Film for the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy, & Horror Films, USA in 1982 AND The Young Artist Awards for the Best Motion Picture - Fantasy or Comedy - Family Enjoyment in 1982!

Storyline

 When Tod (a young fox) and Copper (a young hound dog) meet and learn of each other, although they are different animals, they become great friends. Even though their owners are not fond of each other. As Tod and Copper grow up they realize their unlikely friendship, and their friendship is put to the test. 

Main Characters

Copper is played by Kurt Russell [Is a legend. Who stars in many great films, including: Disney's The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes (Dexter Riley in 1969), Disney's The Barefoot Executive (as Steven Post in 1971), Disney's The Strongest Man in the World (as Dexter Riley in 1975), & Disney's Sky High (as Steve/The Commander in 2005)].

Tod is played by Mickey Rooney [Is a legend. Who stars in many great films, including: Disney's Pete's Dragon (as Lampie in 1977), Lady and the Tramp 2: Scamp's Adventure (as Sparky in 2001), & Disney's The Muppets (as Smalltown Resident in 2011)!].

Porcupine is played by John Fiedler [He also stars in several of Disney's Winnie The Pooh movies as Piglet, in many of Disney's The Magical World of Disney, in Disney's The Emperor's New Groove in 2000 as the Old Man, & in Disney's Kronk's New Groove in 2005 as Rudy!]

Big Mama is played by Pearl Bailey [Pearl also sings the classic song from this movie "The Best Of Friends"]

The Chief is played by Pat Buttram [He also stars in Disney's The Aristocats in 1970 as Napoleon, in Disney's Robin Hood in 1973 as Sheriff of Nottingham,  in Disney's The Rescuers in 1977 as Luke, & Disney's A Goofy Movie in 1995 as Possum Park Emcee]

Badger is played by John McIntire [He also stars in several of Disney's The Magical World of Disney, in Disney's Herbie Rides Again in 1974 as Mr. Judson, & in Disney's The Rescuers in 1977 as Rufus!]

Amos is played by Jack Albertson [He also stars in Disney's A Tiger Walks in 1964 as Sam Grant, and in Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory in 1971as Grandpa Joe!]  

Dinky is played by Richard "Dick" Bakalyan [He also stars in Disney's Follow Me, Boys! in 1966, as the Umpire, in Disney's Never a Dull Moment in 1968 as Bobby Macoon, in Disney's The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes (as Chillie Walsh in 1969), in Disney's Now You See Him, Now You Don't (as Cookie in 1972), Disney's The Strongest Man in the World (as Cookie in 1975), in Disney's Return from Witch Mountain (as Eddie in 1978), & in several of Disney's The Magical World of Disney!]

The Widow is played by Jeanette Nolan [She also stars in Disney's The Rescuers in 1977 as Ellie Mae, and in many episodes of The Magical World of Disney!]

Vixey is played by Sandy Duncan [She also stars in Disney's Christmas in Disneyland in 1976 as Snow White/Tour Guide, in Disney's The Million Dollar Duck or $1,000,000 Duck in 1971 as Katie Dooley, and in Disney's The Cat from Outer Space in 1978 as Liz !]

Boomer is played by Paul Winchell [He also stars in several of Disney's Winnie The Pooh movies as Piglet,  in Disney's The Aristocats in 1970 as Chinese Cat, & in Disney's Adventures of the Gummi Bears as Zummi Gummi in 1985-1990!]

Have you ever completely forgot you did something or thought you were a year younger just to realize at your birthday you somehow forgot you were now more than a year older 🤣🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Well….yes me too.

I’ve been so sidetracked trying to keep up with life, and enjoying the moments in between that I didn’t realize by doing this Magical Meal inspired by The Fox & The Hound - it was a HUGE milestone for me - 300! I’m grateful for my journey I started 3 1/2 years ago with making these meals.

All those years ago and the months in between I thought that if I hit this milestone I would finally started putting together the Meal Planner and others to go along with it. To help friends (I count you as friends 😉) and family could do it more easily in their lives. To sprinkle some magic.

I’ve dreamed of it, created a few rough drafts…and I’m curious would you guys like to see in a Magical Meal Planner? I already have many ideas/plans…but I don’t want to miss something that would help add to your enjoyment.

Pivoting-I really wanted to do this magical meal because a country meal sounded fun AND I LOVE LOVE the message that just because you are from two different worlds, doesn’t mean you can’t be friends. I think it adds to friendship when you can bring insights and joy of new things.

✨Mushroom Gravy (country gravy mix + mushrooms)

✨Diced Fruit

➡️Drinks: ✨Water, Cherry Juice/mix, Berry Lemonade

✨Peaches and Cream (I used our #garden #peaches we stored from summer/oats/brown sugar + cinnamon cream)
